Yulara, Ayers Rock wedding again

Sara and Greg a nice couple from the UK.

Did their “wedding” shoot, well actually it was a renewal of the vowels, but just as romantic!
They have 3 cute kids all boys, so much joy and laughter that day.

Krysten and Damien at Ayers Rock 21 May 2010

I had not met Krysten and Damien before as they are traveling through Australia. They got married at Ayers Rock resort.

We went to the same red dune as this is a really nice spot for photographs. We were running out of light and only had 30 minutes to do the shoot. The clouds blocked the sun and any nice colours, then at the right moment we had a bit of sunlight popping through the clouds. Just enough to make that nice shot, a great contrast between the dark grey sky and the nice golden skin tones.

The night finished off for us – the couple and me and Emma (my new 2nd part time assistant) with sparkles and love…….

Kings Canyon wedding, so much luck that we had with the rain

What a wedding!

Amazing scenery here in the heart, the soul, the centre of Australia.
And the effort we had to go through to get there by car. Knee deep water over the roads and nearly got stuck. Pooring down with rain and heavy winds, dark dark skies. But when we finally got there after a 5 and a half hours drive (450 km only) the skies cleared up and the sun appeared, out of the blue. As if it had been waiting for us to have a fantastic setting for the wedding. We climbed to the top of Kings Canyon to have some great scenery shots. Luckily the bride and groom were ultra fit. Back within the hour and 15 minutes :) just in time for the ceremony.

At the end of the shoot / ceremony the wind almost blew the cake off the table. Me and my assistant Jenn had to protect our cameras from the dust storm and the wedding coordinator managed to save the cake. Walking back to the reception of the hotel it started raining so heavily that we had to do the last 200 m by car. How incredible that we had a clear and almost sunny sky throughout the whole ceremony and shoot!

The skies were so incredibly great, I couldn’t have hoped for more! Location, location, location!

Orange dress wedding and a rainbow!

Wedding of Kelly and Darren
3.45 pm
Up to another lovely wedding today at Trig Hill at the Telegraph Station.

This beautiful bride is getting married in an orange dress, nice and striking against all the green grass we have now after all the rain.

7.30 pm
Back from the wedding. How amazing did this bride look! and there was a rainbow too! She was wearing real Singapore Orchids in her hair and in her bouquet.
