WEDDING OF THE MONTH – Rebecca and Ashley 9th January 2010
First published on 11 January 2010
We would have the wedding shoot of Rebecca and Ashley at the Telegraph Station, but due to heavy heavy rainfall the entrance road to this Telegraph Station was flooded and therefore the wedding spot was not accessible.
The couple quickly organised an alternative spot for the ceremony, which was the spot of their reception at the Alice Springs Resort.
Because the resort does not have that many great photo opportunities we decided to do a run around town to get a more URBAN style wedding shoot.
We went to North Side food land, where there is a great cartoon graffiti wall. Then to Anzac Hill, then The Cause way near Todd Tavern, then Schwarz Cresent bridge that shows the river well where we had a view of Heavitree gap.
Thank god it stayed dry. Thanks to the great couple Rebecca and Ash that did a fantastic job on posing in the sweaty hot humid weather.
The photos are looking great!

West MacDonnell Ranges today
We have a Dutch Documentary Film Maker staying with us, filming me for his documentary which is about Dutch people living abroad (Australia, New Zealand and Fiji – so far)
Of course I had to show off this beautiful red centre of ours… and did the West MacDonnell Ranges today. Took the opportunity to shoot some great Stock Photography
Went to Ormiston Gorge, Glen Hellen, to see Mt Sonder, Ellery Creek, The Ochre Pits.
Standley Chasm and Simpsons Gap will be next week.
More to come soon

Water in the TODD River 10th time in 3 3/4 years, I have seen this YIPPEE
I am now a three times and a bit local of Alice, YIPPEE. I have seen this event 10 times now in the last 4 years.
Early this afternoon at about 2 pm, I checked out Wiggly’s Waterhole and met my friend Ref. John Boundy there.
Like me, a photography fanatic! Crazy enough to stand there in the soaking wet rain risking our cameras.
Though my 5D MKII and L lenses are all weather sealed thank god. Pooring down, seriously wet. Slippery rocks on my thongs.

He showed me how to 4WD through puddles. Lol. Took this for stock photography
Now it was really really raining hard! I got soaked wet to my skin.
Camera still ok.

Then at 5.45 pm the river finally came in
